I have trimmed her hair a couple of time but this is the first time we cut a lot off. One of her friends got a short hair cut so Alena has been asking to get hers cut as well. It was in need of a trim and with the summer I was willing to take some length off. I ended up taking about 3 inches off (all I was willing to do myself in case we needed to go to a salon and get it fixed). It looks much healthier but still stays messy and all over the place. If I have the time I can wet a brush and straighten it a little. In the summer sun it has started to get pretty blonde.
