The Godfather

This is an old post that I have had in my draft box forever. So here it is!

Two weeks ago we got Alena baptized (4/4). My mom flew out last min to be there. It was so wonderful having help that weekend because it ended up being so crazy. We went to church and had the Baptism after the mass. Alena did such a great job! She woke briefly due to the singing and the organ playing and went right back to sleep. When the mass was finally over we had the ceremony. By this time Alena was hungry and ended up screaming throughout the entire baptism. She was screaming so loud I couldn't even hear what Father Orr was saying 3 feet away from me. Luckily it was quick and we were able to get Alena home and fed. After the ceremony mom watched Alena while the rest of us went to Bonefish Grill for a nice dinner out. I was able to relax and have a cocktail! That's right I am off the wagon (10 months sober)! Here are a few pics from the ceremony. They are kinda dark and bad, as I said Alena was screaming so we just tried to get them taken fast so we could leave.

P.S. Dan and Andrea are married. These are our three closest friends out here in Wichita. We can often be found hanging out together most weekends. Jose and Dan were flying partners in OK and Jose and Courtie knew each other from pilot training in MS. We all moved to Wichita the same time last year and live 5 min away from one another now.
